Wrenetha Lynette Calhoun

Wrenetha Lynette Calhoun burst into this world on February 25, 1967, in Lansing, Michigan. The daughter of Ora D. and Virgil L. Calhoun. She passed away June 5, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 59 years.

Wrenetha was a faithful member of Fearless Faith Ministries for 17 years under Pastor Iris Cotton. Wrenetha was also a certified cosmetologist for numerous years and was employed at Kositcheks Hair Salon & Fantastic Sams. She loved growing her flowers and, of course, spending time with her grandchildren. Her highlight was barbequing and entertaining family & friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory children, Tanika Lynette Calhoun, Drico McClure, Tmondre Calhoun, and Jordan Clay; grandchildren, Cynia N. Rutledge, Damira Terrence, Kadrian Matthison, Cairo Matthison, Aura LoveLace, and Honey McClure; sisters, Dell Turner and Diane Swain; brother, Douglas Calhoun; niece, Tierra Darcel Manuel-Calhoun; aunts, Serena Strudwick, Mildred Nettles, LayFayette Paschall, Lucinda Sampson; uncles, Henry Calhoun, James Manuel, Lawrence Calhoun, Jasper “Sonny Man” Manuel, and Larry; many cousins; and other relatives and friends including special friend, Zella Randall.

Wrenetha was preceded in death by her parents Ora D. and Virgil L. Calhoun; grandparents, Daisy Lee and Mose Manuel; sister, Jacqulyn Manuel; and many aunts and uncles.
