To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 during the roll call in heaven, Deaconess Willie Pearl Wright was marked present. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin and friend is now resting safe in the Master’s arms.
Willie Pearl Wright was born November 17, 1939 in Florence, Alabama to the late William and Irene Brewer. The Brewer family relocated to Saginaw, Michigan where Pearl attended Saginaw Public Schools. Pearl loved the Lord and accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church where she served on numerous auxiliaries. She attained many skills and talents throughout her life from various employers, but ultimately retired from General Motors Corporation. Pearl loved to spend time with her family and friends. Some of her many hobbies included knitting, bowling, pottery, sewing, cooking, fishing, shopping, shopping and more shopping. Pearl was a firm believer in God and His Word. She was a woman of faith and an encourager to her family, friends and loved ones. Mom would say to her family on today, “Although this has taken you by a great surprise, please do not cry for me. Jesus has taken me up to Paradise.”
