William Lamont Haines

Mr. William Lamont Haines passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Haslett, Michigan. Age 44 years. He was born Sunday, July 19, 1981, in Gary, Indiana, the first born of Charles and Karen Haines.

William lived in Haslett, Michigan and was a graduate of Okemos High School. He was employed at Adancez, LLC in Lansing, Michigan. Willliam served in the United State Army from 2002-2007 with decorations, medals, badges, citations and campaign ribbons. He earned his Honorable Discharge. William had four nieces and two nephews that he loved very, very much. When it came to them, he was a softy. He loved football and basketball. His favorite teams are the University of Michigan and Chicago Bears. DIE HARD FAN! William had a smile that would melt your heart. He loved his father whom he cherished so much—he would do anything for him. William and his brother had that brotherly relationship that went in many directions.

William leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Charles and Karen Haines; brother, Charles Haines II “Pookie”; 4 nieces, SeDonna, Layla, Cataliyah and London; 2 nephews, Sean and Xavier; 3 aunts, Marian, Sherry, and Charla; 7 uncles, Leonard, Richard, Freddie (Tina), Marvin, Kenneth, Miles and Ernest; cousins, Dejaun Owens, Shanti, Quamal, Darius, Keyanna, Denise, Debris, Marshawn, Quail, DesJuan, LaShanda, Chelsea, Artesia, Aaron, Kia, Michael, Ernie, Keke and Myra; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Roshanda Willett-Emerson.
