Virgil Leon Jones, Jr.

Mr. Virgil Leon Jones Jr. passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his residence in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 62 years. He was born on March 27, 1963, in Saginaw to Jacqueline and Virgil Jones Sr.

Virgil, lovingly known as “Pumpkin,” was a dancing machine. He could pop, lock, drop it, and light up a room like no one else could. Virgil loved fishing and listening to his music while smoking his "bud."  Pumpkin will truly be missed.

Surviving Virgil are one sister, Dawn Jones; one brother, Peter Jones; five nieces, leKisha Jones, Shawtice Pratt, Brooklynn Works, Destiny Pruitt, and Kali Dexter; five nephews, Rytavis Henley, Quon’te Works, Jr., Delano Stephenson III, Dontelle Jones, and Dexter Pruitt; aunts, Elizabeth Holmes, Shirley Williams, and Sherry Jones; uncles, Donnell Holmes, Jefferey Jones; many cousins: Tony, Shawn, Fenell Jones, Lauren, Felice, Darnell Jr., and Sammie Holmes, Kristin and Antoine Johnson, Suzette Humphrey, Jalynn and Xavier Hopkins; many other relatives and friends including Demario Holmes, Neal Thompson, Eddie Smith, Tanita Ezell, and Tony Boggs.

Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Jacqueline C. and Virgil Leon Jones, Sr; grandparents, Ellsworth and Susie Holmes, Katherine and Virgil Jones, Sr.
