Vera Morrow

Ms. Vera Morrow passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 82 years. Vera was born June 15, 1943, to parents, Joseph and Rosa L. Watts, in Birmingham, Michigan.

Vera moved to Lansing, Michigan, in 1963 to attend Lansing Community College (LCC) in order to pursue an Associates degree in Art. Vera would go onto create through painting, sculptures, ceramic, metals and porcelain creating beautiful paintings, statues, and precious metals reflecting her family and younger life.

She wed Charles Melvin Morrow, Sr. and they would have three children together – Marsha, Melvin, and Linus. Although their union would end, their friendship and love for each other would remain intact for their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Vera met and then spent the next thirty-one years with life partner, Chris. They enjoyed all the comforts of life events through church, travel, raising grandchildren and attending the Watts family functions.

She leaves to cherish her memory life partner, Chris Morris; daughter, Marsha (Deshon) Leek; sons, Melvin Morrow and Linus (Nadine) Morrow-Watts; grandchildren, Kenneth Wilson, Tiana N. Williams-Watts, Linus Morrow-Watts, Jr., Deshon Leek, II., Tajè, Jayda, Janelle; great grandchildren, Brianna, MarKendric, Jordan, Syncere, Zayla, Tre-Mari, Shyla; great great grandchildren, Londyn Stewart, Jordyn Carter, Jr.; sisters, Geneva, Doris, Barbra, Rosetta; brother, Nathaniel Watts; many nieces & nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Vera is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Rosa Watts; sisters, Wynita and Marion; brothers, Wilbur Watts, Jonathan Watts, Joseph Watts, Jr., James Watts, William Watts.
