Tyrone Plummer

Mr. Tyrone Plummer passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 49. He was born on July 6, 1976, in Lansing, Michigan, to his mother, Helen Chippewa-Pope-Plummer, and his father, Larry Plummer.

Tyrone was a lifelong resident of Lansing and a member of the Little River Tribe (1841). He worked as a self-contractor, building his livelihood through his own hands and determination.

Tyrone was known for his humor and intelligence, and for his willingness to help others whenever he could. Those who knew him best remember him as a great man who faced his own struggles with quiet complexity.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him, and may he rest in peace.

Tyrone leaves to cherish his memory; his children, Miesha Carminda, Melissa Russell, Tyrone Kendall, Zyheem Plummer, Madisyn Kendall, Eedone Plummer, and Gabrial Baldwin; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Skyler Russell; father, Larry Plummer; sisters, Charlet Wright, Helen McHellen, and Tysia Plummer; brother, Chuck Roger Pope; he also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends who will remember him with love.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Chippewa-Pope-Plummer.
