Mr. Tommie Jackson, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 56 years. Tommie was born May 30, 1968, in Gary, Indiana, to Tommie Sr. and Sylvia Jackson.
Tommie graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1986. He later joined the United States Navy, during the Persian Gulf War where he received many Honors of Valor.
Tommie enjoyed fishing and hunting, bringing home a deer and buckets of fish every time. He also enjoyed watching his westerns movies and the Food Networks, and then came up with some meals to prepare.
Tommie leaves to cherish his memory his wife Sarah, five sons, Tommie III, Hunter, Devon, Gordon “RKKi”, and Jorden “Abril”; fourteen grandchildren; parents, Tommie Sr. and Sylvia Jackson; three nieces, Lilleyonna, Hadlee, and Kinzley; one nephew, Easton; aunts, Janet Carter, Mary (Willie) Brewer, Teola Hegwood, Carol (Willie) Madlock, Betty Walker, Sheree Jackson, and Nora Seay; uncles, Brian Loudenslager; Jimmie O. (Rosie) Jackson Jr., Dennis (Mick) Carter; cousins, Randell Noah, Derrick White, Andre Senter, Marvin Jackson, and J.C. Davenport Jr.; mother and father-in-law, Tammy L. and Ed Darling; sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Navin); brother-in-law, Zachary (Kaylynn); many other relatives and friends including special friends, Paul "Hoss," and Jill (Irene) Mayes.
Tommie was preceded in death by his only sister, Jamila Aisha Jackson; granddaughters, Sofia and Honesty Jackson; grandparents, John and Dorothy Carter, Jimmie O. Jackson Sr., and Mae Betty Jackson Smith; uncles, Willie Jackson, and Fred Hegwood Sr.; aunts, Phyllis Jackson, Joann Matthews, and Maggie Prather; cousins, Randy Jackson, Meco Brewer, Odon Reese Sr., Romona Jackson, Jacinto Carter,
