Ms. TeKosha Raye Perkins, affectionately known as “Pnut,” passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 54 years She was born in Lansing, Michigan, to Katrina Denise Perkins and Edison Powers.

TeKosha was deeply loved and nurtured by her special aunt and uncle, Alberta and Preston Russell, who played an important role in her life.

She graduated from Sexton High School and went on to build a successful career with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, where she worked as an accountant until her retirement.

TeKosha was a loving, kind-hearted woman whose greatest joy was her family and friends. Wherever Pnut went, she brought a welcoming spirit filled with love, laughter, and joy. Whether she was bowling, playing cards (at Gregory’s on Monday nights), dancing, or simply sitting back eating and laughing with those she loved, her presence guaranteed a good time. Her warm smile, generous heart, and vibrant personality left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the love TeKosha shared so freely. Her legacy of kindness, laughter, strength, and unwavering love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

TeKosha leaves to cherish her loving memory her two sons, Aaron Perkins Sr. “Que” and Arthur Harris III; one daughter, NaTosha Harris; two grandsons, ZiQuese Harris and Qu’Chaun Walton-Perkins; grandmother, Olivia Powers; five sisters, Enrika Denise Perkins, Sharonda (Terrell) Wade of Detroit, Michigan, Rho Hudson, Tamela Jones; two brothers, Roshawn Carroll and Marlon (Nicole) Mitchell; uncle, Curtis Powers of Lansing, Michigan; aunts, Cossetta (Thomas) Taylor of Powder Springs, Georgia, Jennifer (Don) Jones of Lansing, Michigan, Kathy (Larry) Dixon and Linda Gonoulin, both of Houston, Texas, Ericka Perkins of Los Angeles, California, and Velma Allen of Flint, Michigan; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, extended family members, and many special friends.

TeKosha was preceded in death by her grandson, Aaron Perkins Jr.; parents, Katrina Denise Perkins and Edison Powers; sister, Nicole Johnson; her beloved aunt and uncle, Alberta and Preston Russell; special cousin, Patricia Martin and special friend and sister, April Jones.
