Taffanesha Davette Charlton, age 36 of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, passed away peacefully after battling a lengthy illness on December 3, 2025, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Midland. She was born May 22, 1989, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Denise Charlton and Willie Farmer, and Jonathan Johnson, the dad who helped raise her.

Taffanesha graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 2007 and soon after received her CNA license. She attended Ultimate Medical Academy to become a Medical Biller and Coder. She was on track to receive her associate’s degree this coming April 2026. Taffanesha was also an author; she authored a book about how God chose her to be the mother of her son. She also received a business license, which she named in honor of her great-grandmother and grandmother, and it is called StellaLilly Companionship Angels LLC. Taffanesha was also a member of the Potter's House Church in Mount Pleasant.

Taffanesha is survived by her two children, Jeremiah Roach Charlton and Zaniya Charlton; parents, Denise Charlton, Willie Farmer, and special dad Jonathan Johnson; siblings, Tiffany (Melvin) Hamilton, and Javaris Jackson; grandparents, Robert (Sally) Charlton, Lilly Charlton, Mattie Johnson, and Rosie Bradley; four nieces, Kii’Mari Charlton-Brown, Emoni Beamon, Mi’Laisia Hamilton, and Tae’Vynn Hamilton.

Taffanesha was preceded in death by her son, Jamere Roach-Charlton; two great-grandmothers, Stella Mae Brown and Corine Charlton; two grandfathers, Andrew Johnson Sr. and H.B. Farmer; two great-grandfathers, Jessie Brown and Robert Charlton Sr.; and one uncle, Michael Farmer.

The family would like to express special thanks to the Dale, Johnson, Harris, Sherrod, and the Charlton families, The Potter’s House Family Worship Center, Midland Baptist Church, and Ivan E. Phillips and Staff at Paradise Funeral Chapel.

Taffanesha will be remembered for her kind heart, beautiful smile, unwavering faith, and the love she had for her children. Her beautiful spirit will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
