Steven Robert Deines, at the age of 61 of DeWitt, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He was born on Monday, June 1, 1964, the son of Harold and Olinda (Leikam) Deines of DeWitt, Michigan.
Steve was a 1983 graduate of DeWitt High School and a lifelong resident of DeWitt. He enjoyed being a part of the community and involved in various activities, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Steve will be missed by his many friends in the greater DeWitt area. Steve was an avid football fan, especially of the Michigan State University Spartans. One of Steve’s favorite past times was enjoying dinner on Thursday nights with his lifelong friends, brothers Fred and Paul Bork.
Steve was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was baptized as an infant at Trinity Lutheran Church and confirmed in faith at Hope Lutheran Church.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Olinda Deines, infant sister Debra Lynn, his grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Steve is survived by his brother, Harold (Barbara) Deines of Greenville, Michigan and sister, Cynthia (David) Blossey of Gowen, Michigan. His nephews and nieces; Dr. Gregory (Karen) Deines, Geoffrey (Nicole) Deines, Andrew (Erica) Deines, Christopher (Danielle) Deines, James Patrick (Leslie) Deines, John (Nicole) Blossey, Jennifer Blossey, Jane (Patrick) Blossey-Forystek. Fourteen great nieces and nephews; special aunt, Ardis Roh of Omaha, Nebraska, and many cousins, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial of your choice may be made to your favorite charity, or memorials may be given to the family to assist with end-of-life expenses.
