Ms. Sherry Williams passed away on April 27, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 66. She was born on July 23, 1959, in Saginaw, Michigan, the beloved daughter of Annette Stevenson Williams and Eugene Williams.
Sherry attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with learning and community involvement. Her strong ties to her hometown were evident in the pride she took in her roots.
Sherry was known for her humor and creativity. She brought laughter and warmth to those around her. She had a fierce love for her family, cherishing every moment spent with her grandchildren. Sherry found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as crocheting, cooking, and enjoying good movies. She was never afraid to stand her ground and was known for her signature wit, often saying, “I’ll get ya in them knees,” followed by a playful wink. This trademark phrase embodied the spark that defined her personality.
Sherry leaves to cherish her memories; three children, Dion, Annette, and Chrissy Lancaster, and special daughter-in-law Victoria Lancaster; six grandchildren, Zachariah, Rahkhyia, Bounxo, Ahrayia, Christaysha, and Secret; two great grandchildren, Zacarion and Romeo; siblings, Catherine Williams and Torre Pittman; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and special friends Thomas White (life companion), Renee, and Janice.
Sherry was preceded in death by; parents, Annette and Eugene Williams; siblings, Jeanette Liles, Angela Nettles, Jerry Liles, and Gloria Williams; grandmother, Annie Stevenson.
The family would like to express special thanks to; Dion and Victoria Lancaster and grandson Zachariah for their dedication, commitment, love and support. To all others for unwavering kindness and expression of sympathy in our time of need.
