Savion Devail Weakly, a man whose heart was as big as his love for the Detroit Lions, passed away on December 16, 2025, in his hometown of Lansing, Michigan. He was 53 years old.
Born on November 18, 1972, to Linda Weakly and Rance Williams, Savion was a lifelong Lansing resident who carried the spirit of his community with him everywhere he went. He was a man of simple but deep passions—nothing made him happier than a Sunday afternoon cheering for the Lions and Tigers or sitting down to enjoy the comfort of his mother’s home-cooked meals.
Above all else, Savion was a proud family man. His children were his greatest achievement and his primary focus. He worked tirelessly to adore and support them, ensuring they always felt his presence and his pride in their every accomplishment.
His laughter, his unwavering loyalty to his teams (even through the tough seasons), and his dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many lives he touched in the Lansing community.
Savion leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and "Honolulu Blue" spirit.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Karen Wallace-Weakly; sons, Zachary Gardenhouse, Savonte Weakly, Tevin Smith, Sajuan Weakly, Saquan Weakly, Tayshawn Weakly, Anthony Wallace, and Jimmy Porter; daughters, Tay Jona Smith and Jada Porter; grandchildren, Andre, Zaire, Zayde, Kaison, N’aziyr, Elijah, Jeremiah, Nehemiah, Trinitee, Journee, Truee, Ami, Nariyah, and Zola; parents, Linda & Johnson Flanagan; grandmother, Rita Flanagan; sisters, Nakeshwa Flanagan and Bridgette Kelly; brother, Joseph (Nichole) Eiseler; aunts, Queen Foster, Kathy Hicks, Matta Williams; uncles, Gene Hicks and Versay Williams; many cousins; and many friends.
Savion was preceded in death by his son, Travarri Gilmore “TJ”; father, Rance Williams; and brother, Johnson Flanagan IV.
