Rosalinda Alvarez

Ms. RosaLinda Alvarez-Villarreal passed away Friday, March 6, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 51 years. She was born Monday, April 8, 1974, in Lansing, Michigan. The daughter of Javier & Margrita Villarreal.

Rosa lived in Lansing on the Northside and that is where she received her name, “Northside Queen”. She loved music, dancing, and family, but most importantly, she loved her 4 boys and 2 grandsons. Rosa was a full-time mother until her final days – and I am sure she still is from above. She was a unique woman that liked to stand out and she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Juan Javier Villarreal, Angel Jose Alvarez Jr., Vicente Javier Guadalupe Alvarez, and Santiago Jose Alvarez; grandchildren, Juan Villarreal and Santana Villarreal; father, Javier Villarreal; sisters, Estrellita Villarreal and Carmelita (Cornelio) Villarreal; brother, Jesus Mose Gonzales; nieces, Margrita Ortega, Celestina Martinez, and Estrellita Martinez; nephews, Celestino Villarreal, Eduardo Martinez, and Javier Villarreal; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Rosa was preceded in death by her mother, Margrita Villarreal; brother, Javier Junior Villarreal I; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Guadalupe Gonzales and Ms. Adelina Ortiz; aunts; and uncle.
