Ronald Smith

Mr. Ronald Smith passed away Monday, October 13, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 75 years. Ron was born October 25, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Arnold and June Smith. 

He graduated from Beal City High School in 1967. On April 23, 1971, he married Kathleen Yuncker. They relocated to Lansing where Ron worked for General Motors for 30 years. He was a talented athlete, playing football, baseball and basketball in high school and softball, golf, and bowling in his adult years. He loved to play cards and bingo and enjoyed their frequent trips to the casinos. 

Ron is survived by Kathleen, his wife of 54 years; his sons Scott (Kim) Smith and Steven Smith; grandchildren Justin Potter, Samantha Smith, Morgan Smith, and Rylee Smith; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Smith; brother-in-law Bill (Mary) Yuncker; and several nieces and nephews.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, sister and brother-in-law Kathleen (Kay) and Bill Trowbridge.

Per Ron’s wishes, there will be no services.
