Mr. Ronald Earl Dozier passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at My Michigan Medical Center Saginaw (Michigan) at the age of 72 years. He was born January 18, 1953, to Silasteen Turner and Fred German, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Ronald relocated to Amityville, New York, at an early age and graduated from Copiague High School, Class of 1971. Music was a very important part of Ronald’s life. He was gifted with several instruments, never receiving any formal training. Ronald was affiliated with many different groups during his lifetime: Silk Satin & Soul, Light Year, The Robert Lee Blues Band, to name a few. While in school, Ronald played on the football team. Spending time with family and friends was also an integral part of Ronald’s life. He enjoyed playing cards and family meals. Ronald retired from the Saginaw Board of Education as a Custodian. He was well-liked and appreciated by staff, students, and family members.

Surviving Ronald are two sisters, Paris Dozier, Saginaw, Michigan, and Bonnie German Nalls (William Jr.), Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four brothers: Ricky Harris (Deanna Bond), Saginaw, Michigan, Reginald Turner Sr., West Bloomfield, Michigan, Donald German (Barbara), Helena, Alabama, and Gerald German (Che), Cottondale, Alabama; one uncle, Howard German, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; seven nieces, Kentoyia and Deandra Harris, Saginaw, Michigan, Nekeisha German, Nikki Vallentine, both of Nashville, Tennessee, Kenitra Rogers, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jasmine Johnson, Newnan, Georgia, Jessica Benson, Columbus, Georgia; 10 nephews: Marques, Dominique and Quintin Harris, and Revon Williams, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Reginald Collins-Turner, West Bloomfield, Michigan, William and Juston Nalls, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Gerald German Jr., Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Darius Henderson, Chicago, Illinois, Larry Cuffie, Hoover, Alabama, Donald German II, Atlanta, Georgia; special great-nieces and nephews, Reh’Yel, KaiRah, Coleson, and Dallas; a host of cousins too numerous to list; many other relatives and friends; special friends: Barry Daniels and Melvin Miller of New York, Patricia Smith, Gadsden, Alabama, Tony Acevedo, Arizona, and the Simmons, Bond, and Sharper families.

Ronald was preceded in death by his grandparents; mother, Silasteen Turner; father and stepmother, Fred and Bessie German; brother, Fred German, Jr.; many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
