Ronald Barnett Christian

Mr. Ronald Barnett Christian (better known as “KoKo”), was born on November 6th, 1975, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ronald Doxie and Debra Christian. KoKo transitioned suddenly on Friday, August 15, 2025, in Coldwater, Michigan. Age 49 years.

Ronald was a family-oriented individual, believing a strong family unit formed the foundation of all success. He was an exceptionally creative person, having penned poems and songs. He possessed a profound passion for all genres of music and was an accomplished dancer. Additionally, he was athletic, with a particular fondness for gymnastics, swimming, and weightlifting. His ultimate aspiration was to bring joy to those surrounding him.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever be held in the hearts of those he touched. His loving wife, LaShawnda Buck-Christian; children, Aaron “Wooder” Evans, Isis Christian, R’sius Christian, Ronald Christian Jr. and Royalty Christian; step-daughters, Nivea Grayson and MyAsia Buck; father, Ronald Doxie; mother, Debra Christan; grandmother, Sara Johnson; brothers, Antwan Lewis, Myron Figgers, Mike Figgers, and Anthony Harris; nephews, Varion and Demonte; niece, Diamond; favorite cousin, Damien Brown; special friends like family, Anthony, Jesse, Hank, & Ineka; Ronald has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that are numerous to mention but he loved them all tremendously.

He was predeceased by his grandfathers, James “Greasy” Johnson and Ned Lewis; grandmother, Minnie Lewis; stepmother, Lois Harris; aunt, Linda Harris; stepbrother, Demore Harris; cousin, Mackinley Brown.
