Rayvonda Garrett

Ms. Rayvonda Norshell Garrett our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and cousin went home to be with the Lord on September 19, 2024, age 53 years. Rayvonda was born October 28, 1970, to  Walter and Mary Garrett.

Ray Ray (as she was affectionately known) was a homebody who enjoyed playing many phone games. She also enjoyed playing Pokeno with her family, spending time with her children and grandchildren, and watching her favorite TV shows.

Rayvonda was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002 and fought for 22 years against the disease. Our OG Ray Ray had always been a fighter, and she fought to the end.

Rayvonda leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, Sherquandra Garrett; two sons, Anthony Tonío Miller and Antwon Miller; four grandsons, Drai'Quan and O'vondrai Tippins, DeAnthony, and Kyrie Miller; three granddaughters, Sherlondraia and Shondranae Tippins, and Harmoni Miller; one godson, Cory'l Smith; one sister, Tina Woolery; one brother, Walter Garrett III; five nephews; two nieces; and a special cousin,  Zanita Johnson.

Rayvonda was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Garrett Jr. and Mary L. Garrett; grandmother, Mary Dell Johnson; sister, Tavonna Garrett-Smith; and special friend, Anthony Miller Sr.
