Raymond Dye

Mr. Raymond Dye, known to many as Ray, was born February 25, 1945, in Oakland, Tennessee, to Jim Will Dye, Sr. and Virginia Wilson Dye. Raymond passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare Cooper, in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 80 years..

Raymond married Martha Conway in 1971 and shared 54 years; from this union, they welcomed two children. Ray retired from General Motors in 2004 after 33 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, doing word puzzles, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Martha Dye; two daughters, Gloria Smith of Orlando, Florida, and Sharonda Dye of Saginaw, Michigan; grandchildren, Asia Smith of Orlando, Florida, and Lincoln Raymond Morris of Saginaw, MIichigan; seven sisters, Audrey Springfield, Poursha (Silas) Clayton, Shoria (Edward) Catholic of Saginaw, Michigan, Vernola Jackson, Memphis, Tenessee, Myra Dye and Orenetta Dye of Oakland, Tenessee, and Tonya (Henry) Bell, Jr., of Locust Grove, Georgia; and one brother, Jim (Clementine) Dye, Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Virginia Dye; one sister, Rosie Lynn Granderson; and one brother, Jeffrey Lee Dye.
