In Loving Memory of Paul Philip Acwil Kulang
It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Paul Philip Acwil Kulang, who departed this life on February 3, 2026.
Paul was born in Malakal, South Sudan, and relocated to Lansing, Michigan, USA, in 2000. He was a hardworking and dedicated factory worker known for his integrity and commitment to providing for his family.
Paul was generous and compassionate. He deeply loved his family and remained connected to relatives near and far. He faithfully supported family and friends back home and was always willing to give selflessly to those in need.
He loved playing the guitar, and he was passionate about soccer, proudly playing for
El-Ahle Football Club in Bam, South Sudan.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mothers (Mama Madelina, and Mama Rebecca) and is survived by his siblings and extended family across the United States, South Sudan, Australia, and Egypt.

Paul Philip Acwil Kulang was born on October 19, 1976, in Malakal, South Sudan, in Panyikang County (Omodia: Panyidway; Puma: Palo-Pa Lual Gukier).
He was born to the late Magdalena Edward Dawin, who hail from Panyikang County (Omodia: Panyidway: Puma: Palo - Odwong).

Legacy and Tribute
Paul was a beloved brother and a joyful uncle who deeply cared for his family. He regularly checked on loved ones by phone or in person and faithfully supported family and friends back home. He was known for giving selflessly, even his last penny, to help someone in need. He was dearly loved by our late mothers (Mama Madelina, Mama Rebecca, and Mama Amalia).
