Mrs. Patricia Helm Williams was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, born December 28, 1943, to William Helm, Sr., and Mattie Murdock Helm. The second oldest of 10 children, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her residence.
Mrs. Williams graduated from Elizabethtown High School in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Patricia accepted Christ at an early age. After relocating to Saginaw, Michigan, she united with Zion Baptist Church, where the late Reverend Dr. Roosevelt Austin, Sr., served as Pastor. Later, she joined Truevine Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert B. Corley, Sr., and continued to serve under the current Pastor, Paul E. Broaddus. Mrs. Williams was a dedicated and faithful servant involved in various ministries, including serving as Mission president, Sunday School teacher, and with the Deaconess Board, to name a few. Patricia was also an active member of Saginaw Valley Baptist District Association.
Pat received her bachelor’s degree from Spring Arbor College. She was employed at The Dow Chemical Company in Midland, Michigan, for 32.5 years. On September 13, 1963, Patricia married her beloved husband, Jodie Henry Williams. To their union, three children were born: twins, Kenneth and Kerry, and her only daughter, Lisa. As her family grew, she became a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Pat's favorite pastimes included traveling, sports, watching movies, and talking on the phone.
She was a superior, loving, and giving person. She served as Worthy Matron of Bethel Chapter # 23, O.E.S. PHA, Saginaw, MI, President of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Gamma Psi Sigma Chapter, and currently served as Financial Secretary of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc.
Mrs. Williams leaves a wonderful legacy of family, love, faith, and a community focused-spirit to her loving and devoted daughter, Lisa Williams, Saginaw, Michigan; bonus son, Darius Gee (Connie), Austell, Georgia, godson, Tajuan LaBee, Seattle, Washington; adopted sons, Kenneth (Barbara) Reynolds, James “Ray” Pearson (Niecy), Deacon Jerome (Dawn) Weathers, all of Saginaw, Michigan; many grandchildren including those she helped raise, Timmy, Kerry Jr., Anthony (Jamika), Dynasty and Kimberly; several great-grandchildren including Acknowledge, De’von, Nicolas, and Kerry III; she also leaves one sister, Marion James; two brothers, Jerry (Phyllis) Helm, and Gregory Helm, Sr., of Louisville, Kentucky; sisters-in-law, Deborah Williams, Saginaw, Michigan, Minnie Spence, Dorothy, Beverly, and Vicky, all of Moundville, Alabama; Mable (James) Wright, Brenda, and Sandra, all of Georgia; one brother-in-law, Curtis of Ohio; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who were all special to her and whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Jodie Henry Willliams (Mac); twin sons, Kenneth and Kerry Williams; bonus son, Kent Wallace; her parents, William and Mattie Helm; brothers, William Jr. (Hattie) Helm, Frederick Helm, Sr., Robert Helm, Marvin Helm, and Kenneth Helm; granddaughter, Patricia “Patty Cake;” one sister, Joyce Lowe; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rubie (Johnnie) Collins, Bessie (Matthew) Myles, Edna Scott, and Gladys (Norwood) Sharper; brother-in-law, Willie Williams, Sr.; many other relatives and close friends.
