Mr. OC Anderson, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the age of 98. OC was born on December 20, 1926, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Pete and Marthan Anderson.
OC grew up in Panola, Alabama, and later relocated to Saginaw, Michigan, in 1955. He was a retired minister of the Spiritual Israel Church. OC was a member of UAW Local 455, retiring from the General Motors Malleable Iron Plant after 26 years of service.
OC loved gardening and cooking for his extended family during the holidays. He also enjoyed watching westerns and baseball. OC was a great softball coach and led the team to its first championship in its first year.
OC leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife, Elise Anderson; son, Carl Adams; sisters, Ethel Shaw, Willie Bea Anderson, and Mima (John) Batiste; godchildren, Larry Irvin, and Sharlene Page; sisters-in law, Glorious Anderson, Kenyetta Russell, Sherita (Rickey) Freeman, Tina (Chris) Griffen; brothers-in-law, James Cook, Phillip Cook, and Stephen Adams; grandchildren, Briana Williams, Carlisha Adams, and Barbara Anderson; great grandchildren, Briana and Mikayla Anderson, Cangela Blakley, Gabriana, Aaliyah, Gianna, and Caliyah Williams, and Shemar Watts; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, Eugene Evans, Jessie Payton, Alan Harvey, and Patrick Johnson.
OC was preceded in death by his former wife, Jessie Anderson; son, Clifford Williams; grandson, Clifton Anderson; his parents, Pete and Marthan Anderson; sister, Hattie Mae Anderson; brothers, Cecil, Wallace, Coatis, and Peter Anderson.
