Nori'Ehna A'Nhilee Denea Garrett

Nori’Ehna A'Nhilee Denea Garret was born on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Lansing, Michigan at Sparrow Hospital, to Ta’Nhi Garrett and Letrelle Jones. On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, God called his precious angel home. Age 4 years old. Nori’ was a precious gift from God, entrusted to our family for a short but meaningful time. From the moment she arrived, her life reflected God’s beauty, innocence, and love.

As she grew, Nori’ enjoyed watching Boss Baby, and later Gracie’s Corner. She was remarkably smart and curious, teaching herself her colors at a very young age. She loved to dance and enjoyed spending time on her tablet, especially when she discovered YouTube.

Nori’ especially loved listening to her YaYa sings gospel songs to her—moments filled with peace, faith, and the presence of God. She was gentle, caring, and kind. Nori’ did not like violence and always wanted everyone around her to be happy. Her spirit was pure, her heart loving, and her presence comforting.

Nori’ was incredibly lovable and sweet. Her smile was beautiful, her face radiant, and her joy contagious. It was hard to tell her no because her light shined so brightly. Through her early time was brief, God’s purpose for her life was fulfilled through the love she gave and the happiness she shared.

We take comfort in knowing that Nori’ is now resting safely in the arms of Jesus, free from pain, surrounded by prefect peace. While our hearts grieve, we trust God’s promise that we will see her again. Nori’ will forever remain our little angel, loved beyond measure and cherished for all eternity.

Nori’ was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jerry Gaddis and Donzell Garrett; grandma, Sarah Gaddis; great-great grandma, Edna Edmonds; and cousin, Jermey Edmonds.

Nori’ leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Ta’Nhi Garrett and Letrelle Jones; grandparents, DeAndrea “YaYa” Edmonds, Don (Amanda) Garrett, Aisha Jones, and John Osborne, all of Lansing, Michigan; great grandmothers, Sheila Edmonds of Albion, Michigan and Betty Garrett of Lansing, Michigan; great-great grandmother, Mary Edmonds of Lansing, Michigan; special cousin/best friend, Fanea Waters; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved in her own way.
