Nicole Yolanda Mills-Fomby

Mrs. Nicole Yolanda Mills-Fomby began her earthly journey in life on January 9, 1982, in Saginaw, Michigan, the daughter of Almeta and Willie Mills Sr. She gained her eternal wings and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Friday, March 28, 2025, at the age of 43 years.

Before relocating to Rochester Hills, Michigan, with her family, Nicole was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan, where she attended Saginaw Public Schools. She was a 2001 graduate of Saginaw High School. Nicole had a passion for helping others so after receiving her diploma, she furthered her education to begin her career in Nursing. For over 14 years, she held nursing positions at Aleda E. Lutz VA Hospital and Home Healthcare. Nicole loved to shop. She was especially interested in jewelry. She had a flair for different but unique, stylish pieces. Along with her passion for jewelry and a great business mind, she began her career as the Owner and CEO of Keep In Mind Jewelry.

Nicole was a faithful member of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Hill. She loved the Lord and enjoyed praising Him. Whenever she was unable to attend services in person, she always made sure she watched online.

She was also an extensive traveler who loved sitting by the water and catching butterflies. Nicole was an awesome cook who loved preparing meals for her family, whom she adored. During family get-togethers, Nicole was the life of the party. She was always dancing and joking with everyone.

Even though Nicole was the baby sister of the family, she was always the outspoken one who held her siblings together. Never saying what they wanted to hear but what they needed to hear. Gone too soon and never forgotten, her wonderful presence and beautiful smile will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Nicole leaves to cherish her wonderful memory, her husband, Willie Lamar Fomby of Rochester Hills, Michigan; fifteen children, Quindreveon, Dre’lyn and Andre II Poole, Na’Marya Fomby, Khalil, Aiden, Jamario, Willie, Warren, Kaden, Amari, Tysean, Zario, An’Janae and Gabrielle Fomby; her mother, Almeta Mills; one sister, Renae (John) Williams of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Willie Mills Jr. of Minnesota and Dionne Mills of Saginaw, Michigan; five nieces, Da’Maya, Ka’Nija, Dionna and Rihianna Mills, and Royalty Christian; four nephews, Dionne, Demetrius and Tresean Mills, Ja’Kiel Stone; five great-nieces and nephews, Ja’Laya Gorham, Zha’ryah Beard, Matavion Beard, Jaxson Mills and Kh’Mari Stone; mother-in-law, Angela Foster; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Nicole was preceded in death by her father, Willie Mills Sr., grandparents, Curtis and Lucy Mills, Albert and Olarvean Caldwell, father-in-law, Willie Foster, one nephew, Da’Michael Mills, two aunts, Brenda Caldwell and Helen Mills, five uncles, Clifford Caldwell, Frank, Sam, Ned and Bobby Mills.
