Nathan Lamarr Will Pentecost, Jr. passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 21 years. He was born on Thursday, June 10, 2004, to Nathan and Willene Pentecost, Sr. in Lansing, Michigan.

Nathan attended and graduated from Henry Ford High School in Detroit, Michigan, in 2022. Shortly after, he moved to Lansing, Michigan, where he began working at a Kroger store. It was there that he met the love of his life, Cheniya Rogers, and the two quickly became close friends. Later, Nathan and Cheniya both worked at REO Town Clubhouse.

Nathan had a passion for basketball and football, and he especially loved his mother’s cooking. He was a wonderful young man, known for his kindness, respect, and willingness to help anyone in need. Nathan was deeply loved by everyone who knew him.

Nathan was a devoted son, a protective big brother, and a loyal friend. Though his time with us was far too short, his presence was powerful and unforgettable.

Nathan leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Nathan and Willene Pentecost, Sr.; grandparents, Leroy (Vetoris) Pentecost and John (Jenina) Parker, Jr.; two sisters, Tamea Wickliffe and Na’Tionna Pentecost; three brothers, Gilbert (Vanessa) Bailey, Jr., Deonte Bailey, Sr., and Braylen Pentecost; four nieces, Alyssa, Ashantiae, and Giana Bailey and Kamea Johnson; two nephews, Deonte Bailey Jr., and Gilbert Bailey III; five aunts, Tonja Parker, Karissa Sheppard, Felisha Nickson, Juanita Beal, and DeOndra Pentecost; four uncles, John Reed (Latiya) Parker, Sr., Kriston Pentecost, Jamell (Erika) Pentecost, and John Mack Parker III; godparents, Christopher Sr. and Regina Johnson; many great-aunts, great uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends including special family friends, Sheletha Davis-Brown, Netta Brown, and Erika Campbell.

He was preceded in death on his maternal side by his grandfather, John Mack Parker Jr.; grandparents, Willie (Ruth) Nickson; great-grandfather, John Mack Parker Sr.; great-grandmother, Mary Parker; great-uncle, Dellmas Williams; and uncle, William Parker. His paternal side by his great-grandfather, John Wesley Pentecost; great-grandmother, Pearline Nichols-Pentecost; great-grandmother, Katie Walton, and Juanita McKeitham.
