Michael Wayne Carroll Jr.

Mr. Michael Wayne Carroll Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, Michigan. Age 41 years. He was born on September 26, 1983, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Michael Wayne Carroll and LaRhonda Riley.

Michael was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He attended Saginaw High School and was employed at Texas Roadhouse where he enjoyed cooking which was his passion. Michael was a happy and positive person. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and other family. Mike loved fishing, bowling, hunting, camping, and helping his friends and anyone in need. He was our big brother, protector, and keeper. The love that Michael shared and the light that he illuminated will never be matched. His smile would brighten up the darkest room. He will always be just a smile away.

Michael Carroll, Jr., was a gentle giant. He loved joking and laughing. Mike had plans for himself and his sons’ future; he was the best dad ever, desiring to give them the best life he could. Michael’s life was cut short tragically and senselessly, but he left his mark on the world - Love! Michael was a son, brother, father, cousin, and friend who was and is still deeply and truly loved and greatly missed.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Michael Carroll, and Princeton Sutton; parents, Michael (Tamyra) Carroll, and LaRhonda Riley; grandparents, Bertha Tellis, and Betty Robinson; four sisters, Nekeasha, Pashion, and Jordan Carroll, and Te’Aaron Wingard; four brothers, Tavarus and Erik Carroll, Jaylon Huffman, and Yancy Wingard III; thirteen nephews, Rico Jr. and R’Mani Baber, Malachi Lockridge, Tavarus Jr., Isaiah, Ziare, Erik Jr., and Jeremiah Carroll, Jahari Grant, Zymen, Seney, and Giovani Huffman, and Tamir Wingard; one aunt, Quinda Nixon; four uncles, Roy Carroll Sr., Kevin Burrage, Charles Riley, and Walter Riley Sr; a host of cousins including close cousins, David Reynolds, Royon, Montrell, Damarkus, and Tamarya Carroll, Ashlee Williams, Shawntell Jones, Sharmone, Ershan, and Dominic Noel; and one brother-in-law, Jermaine Pringle.

Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Mariah Carroll; aunt, Catherine Daniel; grandfather, Roy Carroll, Sr; his cousins, Walter Riley Jr., Terrence Johnson, Tamisha Carroll, Marquetta Carroll, and Vince Reynolds.
