Melvin Mills

Mr. Melvin Mills, age 53, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at McLaren Health Care in Flint, Michigan. Melvin Mills was born on August 26, 1972, in Livingston, AL. The son of Marion Mills and Melvin Thomas.

Melvin was raised and lived in Saginaw, MI. Attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 91. His last place of employment was at Francis Reh Public School Academy, where he worked for 10+ years.

Melvin enjoyed drawing and cutting hair. He loved being around family and friends. Melvin loved keeping his cars clean. He enjoyed talking to his younger brother about cologne and shoes. All who knew him enjoyed his company and his sense of humor.

Melvin leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Marion Mills (Saginaw, MI), and father, Melvin Thomas (Georgia); one daughter, Arenee Mills (Kansas City, Missouri); siblings: one sister, Amy Mills (Saginaw); one brother, Justin (Crystal) Mills of Saginaw; two nieces, Amariss Mills and Justice Mills; one nephew, Justin Mills and an honorary niece, Tiana Jackson; special friend, Vaneta Lindsey; and host of uncles, aunts, and cousins, and friends who became family, OC Cutts, Lavail Mixon, Eric Sanders

Melvin was preceded in death by grandparents Curtis and Lucy Mills, three aunts Helen Mills-Thomas, Onner Lee Little, and Almeta Mills; six uncles, Bobby Mills, Frank Mills, Ned Mills, Samuel Mills, Willie Mills, and Curtis Mills.
