Mary Delores Rodriguez

Mrs. Mary Delores Rodriguez (Rositas) 77, passed peacefully at home in Charlotte, Michigan, surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, September 6, 2025. She was born Saturday, July 24, 1948, in Austin, Texas, the daughter of Gloria and Pablo Hernandez.

Mary was a graduate of Eastern High School in Lansing, Michigan. She  was a woman of faith. Mary was a active member of Cristo Rey Church where she participated in the morning choir for many years until her illness prevented her from doing so. She attended bible studies, women's retreat, and marriage encounter with her husband, Ignacio. She had great love for her family and especially family gatherings. She loved to sing and listen to music.

Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ignacio Rodriguez; sons, Juan (Delana) Contreras, James Contreras, and Jesus Rodriguez; daughters, Deanan Contreras and Alejandra Rodriguez; 20 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Gloria Herrera, Maria Hernandez, Paula Pena, and Elisa Hernandez; brothers, Jerrardo Herrera, Pablo Hernandez, and Fidencio Hernandez; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends of the family.

Mary is preceded in death by her grandson, Dominic Rodriguez; parents, Gloria and Pablo Hernandez; brothers, Jose Herrera Sr. and Luis Hernandez; sister, Maria Elena Hernandez; nieces, Diana Herrera and Adriana Herrera; nephews, Augustine J. Hernandez and Jose F. Herrera; and great nephew, Pablo R. Herrera Jr.
