Mary Hutchinson (Lansing)

Ms. Mary Hutchinson passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021, at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 96 years. She was born February 6, 1925, in Wetumpka, Alabama, the daughter of Henry and Ada Hendrick.

Mary was a member of Second Baptist Missionary Church in Wetumpka, Alabama. She attended school at the Elmore County Training School. Mary was employed at Wetumpka High School. She loved to cook especially for family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory her 4 daughters, Mattie (Darnell) Scates, Debra (Thomas) Wise, Treva (Johnathan) Hutchinson, and Valeria (James) Hutchinson; 2 sons, William (Fannie) Hutchison and Stanley (April) Hutchinson; many grandchildren; sister, Mattie Westbrooks; 2 brothers, Frank Peake and Charlie Peake; many nephews, nieces including special niece, Barbara Robinson of Wetumpka, Alabama; cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends, Ruth Morris and Evangelist Nancy Whitby Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ada Hendrick; husband, John Austin; sons, Edward Swindle, John Austin, Jr., Isaac Hutchinson, and Michael Hutchinson.
