Mary Lee Webb-Frazier

November 23, 1926 — July 12, 2026

Saginaw

Mary Lee Webb-Frazier, affectionately known as “Big Momma”, was born on November 23, 1926, in Sherrill, Arkansas, and she was the daughter of Griffen and Carrie (Reams) Webb. Big Momma departed this earth peacefully at home on Sunday, July 12, 2026; she was 99 years young!

Big Momma attended Sherrill School in Arkansas. She later met the love of her life and married Clarence Frazier Sr., and seven children were born into this union. She was a hard worker and loved to bake. She worked for Mrs. Fannie Motes as a housekeeper and later took a job at Sunbeam Bakery, where she worked for 29 years before retiring.

Big Momma attended First Baptist Church in Ellison, Arkansas, under the pastoral care of Theodis Williams. She was a devoted mother of the church, sang in the choir, and headed the Food Committee. She was an avid cook and had a passion for baking cakes, especially Jelly and Coconut cakes. She also loved baking sweet potato pies and tea cakes. She was very hospitable and would cook a full-fledged meal for anyone who stopped by, no matter the time or day. Her favorite foods to eat were fish, ribs, and greens with a nice cold Coke.

Big Momma also dabbled in the arts and made beautiful quilts for herself to enjoy, as well as others. All you had to do was ask, and she would accommodate you! Her favorite pastime was watching wrestling, where she was familiar with all the wrestlers’ names.

Our beautiful mother leaves to cherish her memories with her lovely children, Gloria (Willie) Herd, Arlene Beckom, Otis (Arlene) Frazier, and Clarence Jr. (Patrice) Frazier, all of Saginaw, MI, Kathlene Frazier, Pine Bluff, AR; stepsisters, Teen and Pearl Hicks; grandchildren, Denina (Dennis) Barlow, Saginaw, MI, Vernell (DeVon) Herd, Rochester, MI, Walter Frazier, Saginaw, MI, Clarence III (Monica) Frazier, Auburn Hills, MI, Tiwana Frazier, Saginaw, MI, Darius Beckom, Saginaw, MI, Lee Otis Jr.(Latoya) Frazier, Flint, MI, Denise Frazier, Flint, MI, Kimberly Frazier, Mikko Dockett, Ewalo Sampson, Olivia Jones, all of Pine Bluff, AR; one sister-in-law, Edna Webb, Detroit, MI, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
