Mr. Marvin Lee Prince Sr. was born March 20, 1960, in Saginaw, Michigan. The son of James Jeff Prince and Clementine Ricks Moore passed away at Duane Waters Health Center on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Marvin (affectionately known as “Putt”) was a hilarious guy. He loved teaching kids how to drive at a young age, and he loved hanging out with old friends. Marvin sometimes got on everyone's nerves, because he was always saying his favorite word “Abracadabra” and his favorite phrase “You too near not to hear me.”
Later in life, Marvin married Sandra Cooper, and from this union, there were four children.
Marvin leaves to cherish his memories three daughters; Vercie Cooper, Tiffany Cooper and Lacreshia Cooper-Simpson; one son, Marvin (LaTonya) Prince Jr.; grandchildren; Elijah, Grover IV, Sandra’nae, Shane’nesha, Daetreion, Brandi, Lewis Jr., Braylen, James III, MiAngel, Miarress, Kameron, and Marvin III; great-grandchildren, Ivoree, Stephen, and Lil Grover V; sisters, Glenda (Maxie) Roby, Lovell Baston, and Elaine (Fred) Davis; brothers, James (Tamara) Prince, Jerry (Shirley) Prince, and Tim (La Juan) Prince; many other relatives and friends including special friend Tom Birch.
Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Prince; his mother, Clementine Ricks Moore; his father, James Prince; and his son-in-law, Ricky Simpson.
