Martina Mejia

Ms. Martina M. Mejia was born August 6, 1948 in Saginaw Michigan, the daughter of Pedro and Josefina (Medina) Mejia. She passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. Age 70 years.

Martina, known amongst family as “Martha”, was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended Buena Vista Public Schools and graduated from Buena Vista High School.

Martha was a homemaker, caregiver and one heck of a farmer. She had the ability to run a farm all on her own. She did the cleaning, tractor driving, general handiwork, tended the livestock, ploughed, planted and harvested the crops. She did it all.

Martha’s interests included cooking, knitting and gardening. More than anything, she enjoyed being with family and family gatherings.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Pedro Mejia and Josefina (Medina) Mejia; sisters, Refugia Ramirez, Josefa Mejia; brothers, Santiago Mejia Sr., Guadalupe Mejia and Francisco Mejia Sr.

She leaves to celebrate her life three sisters, Paula Garcia, Maria Olivia Diaz and Jesus Silva.
