Marion L. Davis (Lansing)

October 1, 1953 — April 5, 2025

Lansing

Mrs. Marion L. Davis gained her wings on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 71years old. Marion was born in Smock, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 1, 1953, to Francis Marion and Regina Julia Clark.

Marion had a warm heart and nurturing spirit and was passionate about her family and friends. Marion loved pictures and cards that were moments in time she cherished.

During her life, she loved to bowl and joined many leagues along with daughter, Terriea. Marion loved playing Bid Wiz and would let you know she was good. Marion was an avid sewer and enjoyed shopping in the store or on TV. Let’s not forget her cooking skills, she was famous for her macaroni & cheese and chili, but her specialty was a 7-layer salad. Her favorite desert was cake (mainly the frosting) and strawberry cheesecake with extra strawberry syrup.

Marion worked as a Special Agent for the State of Michigan Department of Income Tax Fraud, where they called her “Star” because she shined so brightly. Marion enjoyed being an agent, she would be so excited to share her stories from being in the field. Marion was a devoted church goer, until her illness prevented her from attending. Since then, she remained devoted to her faith by reading the Bible, praying, and watching her favorite pastor on television.

Marion leaves to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Terriea (Vince) Black-Nash and Dr. Monique Davis; four grandchildren, Ah’lon Black, Alexus Black, Dominique Harris-Nash and Jaden Davis-King; two great grandchildren, Noah Black and Na’lani Black; two sisters, Jaymee Clark and Nicole Lee-Clark; three aunts, Arlene Clark, Faith Hoffman, and Denise Vickers; two uncles, Delbert Clark and Dr. Charles Lee; special cousins, Tyrone Vick and Ivan Horton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Marion was proceeded in death by parents, Francis and Regina Clark; paternal grandparents, Ophelius and Martha Clark; and maternal grandparents, Lucius and Elizabeth Lee.
