Mrs. Lucille Webb transitioned from this earthly life on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Age 75 years. She was born on July 21, 1948, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Cornelious Irvin and Rufus Gill.
Lucille was a graduate of Carrollton High School, Class of 1966. She was employed for over thirty years at Michigan Bell Telephone in the Operator Services Department. Lucille was a faithful member of Victorious Believers Ministries serving under the leadership and tutelage of Pastor Christopher V. Pryor. She enjoyed gardening, singing, fashion, shopping, and watching Christian television and gospel award shows, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Lucille was well-known for her participation in National Baptist Convention activities and the Gospel Music Workshop of America. She toured nationally with the Saginaw Valley Mass Choir and the Wolverine Baptist State Choir.
She leaves to cherish her memory 2 sons and 1 daughter, Arvell (Terri) Webb, Grand Prairie, Texas, Ardella Webb, Mansfield, Texas, and Choya (Kimberly) Webb, Cypress, Texas; grandchildren, Trishondrella (Trisha) Holmes, Arlington, TX, Arvell Webb Jr., Las Vegas, NV. Rodney Holmes, Surprise, AZ, Choya Webb Jr., Brooklyn, NY, DeJane’ Joseph Dallas, TX, X’alen Webb, Killeen, TX, Jaleel Webb, Dallas, TX, Miron Hamilton Jr., Dallas, TX, Erin Hamilton, Dallas, TX, Tatum Webb, Cypress, TX, and Kylan Webb, Mansfield, TX; great-grandchildren, London Minniefield, Khalifah Joseph, Bryson Holmes-Cotton, Serenity Saunders, Tahla Holmes, and Tylenn Holmes, she also leaves one niece, Keisha Brown; special aunts, Hazel, Frances, and Lois Irvin; sisters-in-law, Cyndella Wooten, Jackie Johnson, Doris (Lynnard) Wesson, all of Little Rock, AR, Janice (Victor) Walford, Grand Prairie, TX, Charlotte Wooten, Monroe, LA, Karen Webb, Rosharon, TX, Jacqueline Bettis, Lansing, MI, Orita Jackson and Clarice Taylor of Saginaw, Michigan; son-in-law, Miron Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Alfonso (Luella) Taylor, Shreveport, LA, Melvin Wooten, Pine Bluff, AR, Charles (Lavoyan) Coleman, Scott, AR; she will be missed by a special friend, Barbara Williams-Sane.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Samuel Webb; daughter, Tamieka Hamilton; sister, Madelaine J. Crittenden; nephew, Markus Gill; many aunts, uncles, and other loved ones.
