Mrs. Linda Lou Rose passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 27, 1949, in Lansing to her devoted parents, Harold and Mildred Strouse.

Linda’s love story began in the simplest and most charming of ways—while she sat on her porch enjoying a bag of popcorn. It was there that she met her future husband, Arnold Rose. He often recalls that moment with a smile, saying, “She was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.” Their marriage was one of deep love and partnership, and together they welcomed two sons, Butch and Bill.

Linda was a devoted mother whose nurturing spirit knew no bounds. After the untimely passing of her sons, she and Arnold opened their hearts and home once more, lovingly raising and later adopting their grandsons, Scott, Nick, and Charles. Her life was defined by quiet strength, selfless love, and unwavering devotion to family.

She was a hardworking woman who spent many years employed at John Henry Printing and later at Shell Gas Station, where she was known for her kindness and strong work ethic.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Arnold Rose; adopted sons, Scott Rose, Nick Rose, and Charles Rose; honorary daughter, Rosie; grandchildren, William, Dustin, Victoria, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Bodie, Bellamy, Leila, Evelyn-Rose, Sophia, and Bella; sister, Evora Strouse; and brother, Randy Strouse.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Butch and Bill Rose; mother, Mildred Mae Strouse; father, Harold Ralph Strouse; sisters, Barb and Liz; and brother, Jeff Strouse.

Linda Lou Rose will be remembered for her gentle heart, enduring love, and the immeasurable impact she made on the lives of those she held dear.
