Lewis “Doc” Miller was born October 31, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Claude and Katherine Miller. He was oldest of six children. He graduated from J.W. Sexton High School and started working with General Motors and later ABM Janitorial Services. Lewis and Clara Miller were blessed with three children, Lewis III, Terrence, and Napoleon.
Lewis later met and married Janice Hill in 1995 and they were married for 29 years until Janice passed away in 2024. Many friends and family refer to Lewis as “Butch” and “Doc” and remembers him as one who was kind, loving, and had a giving heart.
Lewis’ family was his life and he enjoyed the times they would get together for cookouts and grilling good food. In spite of his health challenges, he did not let that stop him from sharing the special times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
