Mr. Leroy Woodhouse passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 73 years. He was born on August 17, 1952, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Mariah and Winfield Woodhouse.
Leroy attended Saginaw High School. He was a loving family man who enjoyed listening to the Blues and fixing cars. Leroy was employed by General Motors, retiring in Shreveport, Louisiana, in 2011, after forty-one years of dedicated service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was always considered the life of the party. Anyone in need could always count on Leroy. He wanted everyone to be happy at all times.
He leaves to cherish wonderful memories his loving wife, Georgette Woodhouse of Shreveport, Louisiana; one daughter, Shontul Johnson; one son, Trenton Johnson; grandchildren: Je’Marcus Johnson, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Trenton and Angelo Johnson, Danville, Illinois, and a special granddaughter, Tina Woodhouse; two brothers, Eddy (Connie) Woodhouse, Spanaway, Washington, Ronald (Ruth Ann) Woodhouse, Saginaw, Michigan; two sisters, Bonnie Mitchell, Saginaw, Michigan, Pamela Woodhouse (Jerry Bandy) Lansing, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; four sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; many other relatives and friends including special “cuzin,” Frank Conic, and special friend, Charles Mack.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Mariah and Winfield Woodhouse; mother and father-in-law, Bennetta and Jack Johnson; three brothers: Winfield, Anthony, and Sam Woodhouse; sister, Cheryl Allen; 3 uncles, 7 aunts, a special granddaughter Antazia Johnson; niece, Shante’ Woodhouse; and nephew, Jermaine Woodhouse.
