In Loving Memory of Ms. LaToyia Sharee Brown
Ms. LaToyia Sharee Brown departed this earthly life on Monday, June 1, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 45 years. She was born on Thursday, August 21, 1980, to Ronald and Linda Brown, in Lansing, Michigan. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, girlfriend, niece, cousin and friend whose presence touched the lives of many. LaToyia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Phillip and Prophetess Patrice Owens at Immanuel’s Temple in Lansing, Michigan. LaToyia was a woman of ambition, determination, and compassion. She received her formal education through the Waverly and Lansing School Districts and was blessed to work in the service industry, where she found fulfillment in helping others wherever she was needed. One of LaToyia’s greatest joys and accomplishments was motherhood. From a young age, she often said that she wanted five children, and she was blessed with exactly that number. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her world, and she devoted herself to loving, nurturing, and supporting them. LaToyia was also known for her cheerful outlook, a quality she carried throughout her life and shared with everyone she encountered. LaToyia’s legacy is one of love, determination, and service. Though her time with us was far too short, the memories she leaves behind will remain in our hearts forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Bryan, Amanah, Isaiah, Xavier, and Ayden; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Mariana Jones; longtime partner, Billy “BK” King; father, Ronald Brown; stepmother, Mary Brown; brother, Ronnie Brown; stepsisters; Monkieda Redford and Philisia Roberts; stepbrother Turundus Luckett; grandmother, Mary Bufford; aunts, Terri Bufford, Sarah Bufford-Wallace, Judy Templeton, and Carolyn Brunson; and uncle, Charlie Bufford.LaToyia will also be lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by knowing her.
LaToyia was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Brown; grandmother, Marlys Walker; and grandfather, Buddy Brown.
