Lamont Ezell Jr.

Mr. Lamont Ezell Jr. transitioned to eternal rest on August 19, 2025, at his residence in Detroit, MI, at the age of 43. Lamont was born October 16, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the beloved son of Tanita Ezell and Lamont Sims.

Lamont loved fishing, spending time with his children, and being with friends and family.

He leaves precious memories with two daughters, Alivia Miller and Anastasia Ezell; five sons, Marquon Bables, Lamont Jr., Tristin Ezell, Carmello Ezell, and Ricky Ezell; stepchildren, Angle and Jennan; his mother Tanita Ezell; three sisters: Tawanna, Crystal, and DeAngela; and one brother, Lamont Sims Jr.; two nieces, RayAna Carethers and Isis Christian; nephews, Damarion Sims, Dedrick McKalpain, and Alvarez Jr.; aunts, Teresa Prince, Brenda Sims, Velma Sims, Cathy, Sandra, Janet, Alice, Yvette, and Phillis Smith and Joanne Martin; uncles, Arthur Ezell, Mitchell Jones, Jeffrey Ezell, Anthony, Reginal, Phillip, and Kalvin Smith; a host of other family and friends including special friends, Tiara, Eric, David, Demarcus, Lawrence, and Marcel.

Lamont was preceded in death by two sons, Isaiah Miller and Zamario Ezell; nephew, Quemont Tillman; aunts, Michelle, Laura, and Bertha; uncles, Joe, Cleve Jr., Elvin, Richmond, Billy, and John; and cousin, Ermon.
