Mr. Ladell Brown, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at University of Michigan Health – Sparrow in Lansing, Michigan. Age 41 years. He was born in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Robin Brown and Ladell Brown, Sr.

Ladell was raised in the Battle Creek and eventually moved to Lansing. He attended school in Battle Creek and graduated from Climax High School in Climax, Michigan. Ladell attended Maranatha Original Church of God in Battle Creek. He was employed with the United States Postal Service in Battle Creek and recently in Lansing, Michigan for 18 years. Ladell loved God, his children, going to school and eating especially his grandma Leola’s dressing, mom Robin’s spaghetti, and his bonus mom, Lashanna’s macaroni & cheese. He loved to be with family and wanted to be loved. His hobbies were cooking, spending time with family, rubbing his mother feet, playing pool, fishing, basketball (watching and playing), dancing (but he couldn’t do it), love to say hello by slapping the women on the butt (his Mom and Bonus Mom).

He leaves to cherish his memories, his 4 sons, Isaiah Brown, Braylen Brown, Hayden Brown, and Camren Brown; mother, Robin Brown; father & bonus mom, Ladell, Sr. (Lashanna) Brown; grandparents, Corinne Moore and Leola Sherrer; sister, TarKiesha Steward; 7 brothers, Laron (Brook) Dodd, Darnell (Jessica) Dodd, Daryl Dodd, Lamar Brown, Tre DuPard, Daiquez Brown, and Miyon Johnson; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ladall Brown and maternal grandmother, Emma Lou Dodd.
