Saginaw

Lacrecia Antoinette Bell, beloved sister, niece, aunt, partner, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025. Though our hearts are heavy, we honor her life with joy, gratitude, and love.

Born on January 9, 1965, in Saginaw, Michigan, Lacrecia lived a life filled with laughter, determination, and compassion. She was known for her ever-present smile, quick wit, and fiery spirit that could brighten any room. Her humor and warmth had a way of lifting even the heaviest of days.

Family was at the center of her world. She loved fiercely, making everyone she touched feel seen, cherished, and deeply valued. Whether through a warm embrace, a thoughtful word, or a perfectly timed joke, Lacrecia left an imprint that will never fade.

She is survived by her siblings; Yvonne Bell, Cheryl Moore, Sherman Bell Jr., Anthony Bell, and Adrianne Bell-Williams; uncles John Russell (Lillian) Thomas and Marshall (Yvonne) Thomas; and partner, Dempsly Emerson; a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, God-brothers and God-sisters; special friends Kim Harrold and Tamara Myles and many other friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman Bell, Sr., and Theresa Thomas-Bell; uncles and aunts, Horace Thomas, Robert Thomas, Ruth Thomas-Cheatman and Julia Thomas-Pringle and her brother-in-law, Bryan Williams.

Lacrecia's legacy is one of joy, resilience, and unwavering love. She will be missed dearly, but her spirit lives on in the stories we share, the laughter we recall, and the love that forever binds us together.
