In loving memory, we honor the life of Kevelin LaMont Conner, affectionately known as “Love.” Kevelin left an incredible mark on all of our lives.
Kevelin transitioned peacefully on February 17, 2026.
He was born on March 18, 1976, to Harriette Curry and Samuel Agee. He graduated from Linden High School in Linden, Alabama. In 1986, Kevelin’s family relocated to Lansing, Michigan.
Kevelin always made sure his family and friends were cared for — that’s how he earned the name “Love.” He enjoyed cooking, spending time with family and friends, and caring for his beloved dog, KJ.
One of Kevelin’s greatest joys was being a son, brother, father, and grandfather. He was deeply involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. A true family man, Kevelin expressed his love through warm, embracing hugs that reflected his bright spirit and genuine heart. His love has left a lasting impression on us all.
Kevelin leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Harriette Curry; his children, Jameka McAbee (Keyonta), Kevelin Muhammud Conner, and Amadi Conner; his grandchildren, Jayden Givens and Julian Johns; his siblings, Katina Agee, Tawanna Lanier (Parnell), Shemeckia Conner, Tressalyn Agee (Lawrence Cole), Samuel Agee, and Bernard Agee; his grandmother, Ruby Agee (James); his aunts, Annie Chaney, Mary Sims (Willie), Lorelei Curry, Doris Hisler, and Carrie House; his uncles, Derreanco Agee and Alan Agee; 12 nieces and nephews; bonus children, Willie, Ra’Neithiah Pepters, Shaquia Wright, and Shantorra Odegaard; godchildren, Antwan Phifer, Ta’Lynn Davis, Amair, and Alijah Johnson; bonus grandchildren, Kaleigha Jackson, Avah Ware, King Proffit, and Lariah Fountain; special cousins, Nathaniel Conner and Richard Perry; and special friends, Natasha “Buddy” Miller, Antwan Phifer, and Tony Clemens.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Arquetta Bibbs; his father, Sammy Agee; his great-grandmother, Leola Conner; his nephews, Tammeron and Tammarris Aikens; his stepfather, Robert Curry; his aunts, Eliza Walls Houston and Ethyl Conner; and his uncles, Nathaniel, Douglas, and Hayward Conner.
