Kenney McCall

Mr. Kenney McCall, born October 3, 1957, to Sally Kenney and Robert McCall, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, at the age of 68.

Kenney moved to Saginaw, Michigan, in 1965, where he attended Saginaw public schools. He was employed with General Motors for 35 years and happily retired. He was also affiliated with UAW Local 659. Kenney enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Detroit Lions, his favorite team. Also, spending time with his family and completing his paper route for The Saginaw News. He had a million-dollar smile and a great sense of humor. Anytime you saw him, he had a joke. Kenney will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memories of Kenney will be forever cherished by his loving life partner of 42 years, Debra Blakely, Saginaw, Michigan; three daughters: T’Pring (John) Liddell and Alexis Wadley, Saginaw, Michigan, and Amber (Courtney) Elliott-Harrison, Smyrna, Georgia; two step-daughters, Demeica and Arianna Blakely; grandchildren, Janiah and Rah’Jon Liddel, Daijah Sims -Blakely, Yasmin Sims-Blakely, Niajah Blakely, and Zamaris Blakely, all of Saginaw, Michigan; great-grandchildren, Karter, Eiress, DJream, and King Blakely; one sister, Ethelinda McCall, Dallas, Texas, and one brother, Robert McCall, Jr., St. Louis, Missouri; two nephews, William McCall and Zachary McCall, both of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves many loving cousins, special friends, Clinton (Diana) Johnson, and friends at The Saginaw News.

Kenney was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally McCall; daughter, Kendra Wadley; brother, D’Laurence McCall; sister, Robin McCall, and “Aunt Nale,” of Boston, Massachusetts.
