Katie C. Dean

Katie Catherine Dean (aka Katie C) was born April 23rd, 1949 in Greensboro, AL. Katie had 3 children before she moved to Flint, MI in the 70’s. While living in Flint she met her first husband, Ronald Stitt, at the Camaro Lounge. They had four children. Katie and her kids then moved to Okemos, MI, where she met the Love of Her Life, Terry Dean. They were married for 38 years.

Katie, well known as “Katie The Cleaning Lady”, worked hard all her life and took pride in everything she did. She was a proud owner of Dean and Dean Cleaning and was loved by all. She enjoyed listening to music, watching old school TV shows like: Andy Griffith, Gun Smoke, and Price Is Right. She loved being in nature, going to the park, and bird watching, She enjoyed spending time with her large family. And Loved her God, Jehovah.

Preceded in death by sisters: Queen Ann Bennett & Martha Jones; daughters: Getila Sonya Knox & Guiqnol Knox-Hester

Survived by children, Gladys Loraine Wright (Lamont), Ronald Dylon Knox (Ann), Gedair Laquai Stitt, DeQuan Carlton Stitt, Geriecia Clara Stitt; stepchildren: Carl Dean and Jennifer Dean; as well as 27 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews
