Karen Harkins

Karen Angela Harkins, age 50, passed away May 30, 2026. She was born in Houma, Louisiana, on December 10, 1975, but moved to Saginaw, Michigan, in 2025. She was living with her fiancé, Edward Christopher, and his mom, both of whom made her very happy for the first time in her short life.

Karen is survived by her mother, Tena A. Pitre; two brothers, Jessie H. Harkins and Albert R. Harkins; aunts, Mary E. Pitre and Lisa Pitre; two uncles, Steven P. Pitre and Gary J. Pitre; one niece, Kylie S. Harkins; three nephews, Kodi H. Harkins, Jonathon P. Harkins, and Jason R. W. Harkins.

Karen was preceded in death by her grandfather, Albert P. Pitre, her grandmother, Zula L. Pitre, her uncle Bernard J. Pitre, and his son, Brandon Pitre.

Karen loved just about everyone she met. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, generosity, her love for her mother and others, and her infectious laugh! She will be extremely missed by her family and friends, but will always be treasured in our hearts and memories! Rest in peace, my precious daughter! I'll see you again with Jesus, and I'll love you forever!
