Judy R. Peoples

Judy R. Peoples went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at the age of 64 years. After recent health issues and long hospital stays, her health continued to decline rapidly. Through every step of her journey, she was surrounded by the unwavering love, prayers, and support of her devoted family and cherished friends.

Judy was born May 18, 1962, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Ruby and L.C. Pete Peoples. She lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and unconditional love, leaving an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

A devoted believer, Judy was a member of Faith Charity Pentecostal Gospel Church under Pastor Ardis L. Thompson in Saginaw, MI. Her faith continued to grow throughout her life. She shared a close and personal relationship with the Lord and was a fervent prayer warrior who faithfully lifted others up in prayer.

To know Judy was to know joy. She had a beautiful spirit that radiated warmth, compassion, and laughter. Her smile could brighten even the darkest day, and her infectious laugh brought comfort and happiness to all who were around her.

Judy found joy in simple pleasures. She loved crocheting, styling hair, and music, especially the timeless songs of her favorite artist, Anita Baker. Her laughter, sense of humor, and vibrant personality will forever echo in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving fiance, Michael Banks; three children, Myrain (ShaRhonda) Peoples of Ypsilanti, MI, Jake (Taylor) Peoples, and Ruby Peoples of Saginaw, MI; ten granddaughters, Shaniyah Peoples, Dontaysia Nettles, Jasmine Peoples, Terriah Washington, Datorriay Kelly, DeMaya Kelly, Justice Peoples, Mercedes Peoples, Allea Peoples, and Janelle McAfee; eight grandsons, Jordan Patterson, Torion Jones, Roderick Jones, Myrain Peoples II, Jeremiah Peoples, Jace Peoples, Jake Peoples Jr. and Ja’myrian Peoples; six great grandchildren, Jauane Allen II, Narmatiz McDaniel, Kyle VanHorn Jr., Blaine Luke, Arianah Mcfee, and Daliyah Mcfee; seven brothers, Derrick Peoples, Anthony (Veronica) Peoples, Vincent (Kimberly) Bond, Craig Granison, Orlando Granison, Clarence (Sharonda) McGee, Samuel (Angie) McGee; eight sisters, Tammy (Johnny) Cotton, Doris Haynes, Vickey Tyson, Elizabeth Dugan, Debra (Kenny) Blakely, Toni (Ray) Hicks, Donna (Eddie) Granison-Presley, Aquanita Bardell; special friends, Terri Johnson, Ronda Johnson, and Ronna Banks, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love.

Judy was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents L.C. Peoples and Ruby Peoples; stepmother Catherine Peoples; sisters Lynette Harold, Christine Freeman, Bernadine Essex, Valarie Williams, and Sandra “Peachy” Thompson; brothers, Terry Peoples, Rudolph Dugan “Butch", Glenn Peoples, Anthony Bardell, Harry Bond Jr., and uncle Eddie Peoples; nephews, DeMarco Peoples and Chae Riley; and great-nephew, Shane Peoples-Welch and great-niece Darneisha Spence.

Although her passing breaks our hearts, we find peace in knowing that Judy is now resting in the loving arms of her Savior. Her life was a beautiful testimony of faith, love, strength, resilience, and compassion. The memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she so freely gave will continue to live on in all who knew her.
