Mrs. Johnnie Mae Nowell-Bonds passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in Saginaw, Michigan, at age 53 years old. Johnnie Mae was born November 18, 1971, in Saginaw, Michigan, to parents Ruby Choyce and Clarence Nowell.
Johnnie Mae was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School and a devoted member of New Full Life Gospel Church, where she worshiped faithfully for 25 years. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she found joy and purpose in her work—spending over 25 years with Rite Aid before continuing her career at Jack’s Fruit Market.
Johnnie Mae cherished time spent with her family and friends, holding a deep and unconditional love for her loved ones. Her vibrant spirit shines through her passions: she delighted in dancing, music, traveling, and the playful companionship of her beloved dogs.
Johnnie Mae leaves to cherish her memories, husband Clinton Bonds Sr., Saginaw, Michigan; daughter, Jamika (Richard) Lytle; sons, Dequentin (Theresa) Nowell, Bobby (Trenika) Nowell, and Demarcus (Hannah) Draine, and step-son, Clinton Bonds Jr.; twenty-nine grandchildren; sisters, Kesa Williams and Latiaya Johnson; brothers, Jermaine Askew Sr., Corey Williams, Charles McKinney, and Demarco Turner; aunts, Gail Choyce and Charline Starks; uncles, Bryan Choyce, Kenneth Choyce, and Reginald Choyce; and many other relatives and friends including special cousins, Yolanda Cooper and Kathleen Batts, special aunt, Kathy Roster, and special friends, Patrece Allen and Janice C.
Johnnie Mae was preceded in death by mother, Ruby Choyce; father, Clarence Nowell; sister, Tangela Nowell; sons, Demetrius Lytle and Kenneth Lytle; aunt, Dora Cooper; sister-in-law, Lisa Rucker; and grandchildren; Kaiden Draine and Zayden Coleman.
