John Walker

Mr. John Sterah Walker was born February 15, 1964, in Detroit, Michigan. The son of Sterah and Nancy Walker. He passed away June 3, 2026, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 62 years.

If you truly knew John, then you know just how much he loved playing bingo and doing scratch offs. He also liked to go to NASCAR races and watch sports - he was a big fan of the Michigan Wolverines. John also played sports himself, he was a pitcher for softball. In his downtime, you could often find him barbequing with family and friends and making everyone laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memory children Ashley Evans, Haley Meister, Carmen Keener, and Jay Dewitt; stepchildren, Kelly Pruitt and John Pruitt; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters, JoAnne Walker and Barbara Walker; brother, Fred Walker; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friends, William “Bill” & Gloria Pergl and Dan & Tracey Perry.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Sterah & Nancy Walker; sister, Mona Walker; brothers, Lee Walker and David Walker; and aunts & uncles.
