Mr. John Kim Alexander passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 70 years. He was born on Monday, February 28, 1955, in Jacksonville, Florida, the son of John Krudup Alexander and Elsie Irene Kuff.
John lived in Lansing, Michigan where he worked several years at General Motors Corporation; retiring in 2004. He was a active member of United Auto Workers Local 602. He spent his time woodworking and enjoying time with his family. John collected gargoyles, wizards, and swords. He made the best chocolate malts and homemade chicken noodle soup. John was rough on the outside, but everyone who knew and loved him knew how caring and affectionate he really was. John always watched Syfy, Discovery, History, and weather channels. Don’t even get him started on Sasquatch, Aliens and everything paranormal or conspiracy theories. He was an amazing husband, father, Papa, and Tio anyone could have asked for. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He leaves to cherish his love and memories, his wife, Lydia Herrera Alexander; two sons, John Matthew (Tara) Alexander and Andrew Michael Alexander; two daughters, Nita Alexander (T) Schoonover and Zoey Florentino; two stepchildren, Felipe Herrera and Amanda Brown; grandchildren, Evie Schoonover, Tyler Schoonover, and Donovan Herrera; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including special friend, Jimmy.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; brother, Paul Webber; and mother-in-law, Juanita Herrera-Brown.
