Joey Jones

Mr. Joey Jones passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 58 years. He was born on July 21, 1966, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Rosa Lee (Bibbs) Jones and Harrison Jones.

Joey was a resident of Saginaw. He obtained his General Education Development and became a high school graduate before becoming a member of Bethel AME Church. He was employed for many years as the Lead Custodian at Bethel before his failing health ended his service. Joey's hobbies included restoring tennis shoes to a state of looking brand new. He was a strong believer in family unity. Joey had a smile that would warm your heart. He will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved him dearly.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Vanessa Stephens-Jones; two sons, Kristopher A. Stephens, Saginaw, and Joey Aliwishus Jones of Bay City, Michigan; grandchildren: Kristopher Stephens Jr., Kamarion Love, Ka'Leah Stephens, and Ka'Loni Stephens, Aubriella, Jazzlyn, Luciana, Aliwishus, Josiah, and Joyrus Jones; two sisters, LaVerne (Will) Watson, and Dorris Jones; six brothers; Melvin (Deloris) Jones, Stephen (Liz) Jones, Sheldon Jones, Orlando Jones, Steven McDaniel, and Matthew (Ann) Jones; many nieces and nephews; a host of cousins from Ohio; mother and father-in-law, Mildred L. Valley, Saginaw, Michigan, and Henry Clay Stephens, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two sisters-in-law, Sherrell (Cevin) Johnson, and Vivian Stephens; one brother-in-law, Morris (Kamisha) Valley; many other relatives and friends.

Joey was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Bernard Hall; his parents, Rosa Lee Jones and Harrison Jones; siblings, Colleen Jones and Roy L. Jones; and stepfather-in-law, Morris Valley.
