Our beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother departed this life on Monday, May 28, 2012 at James E. Cartwright Care Center. Age 65 years. JoAnn Washington was born May 19, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to Bernice Morris and James Washington.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Demruse (Williams) Phillips; one grandson, Damarcus Phillips; one sister, Vercie (Cleveland) Burks; two brothers, Vance Morris (Imogene Bell), Derrick Morris; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Yondina, Larry, Joyce, Geraldine and John.
JoAnn was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Washington; sisters, Leatrice Martin, LaWanda Jones, MaDonna Morris; grandmother, Eddie Lee Rice; aunt, Leatrice Rice, uncle, Clarence Rice.
The family would like to express special thanks to James Cartwright Care Center and Reverend Judith Boli.
